Pioneer Group History
The Pioneer Group of Companies started it’s business in 1951 with an office at Mclean Street, Plaza Square, Karachi under the name & style of “Pioneer Automobiles”. Having Head Office at Pilot House, Plaza Square, M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi. We started business in automotive spare parts and bearings for mainly buses, Trucks & Tractors. We were the sole agents of A.E. Auto Parts, U.K. & GPZ Bearings, Russia in Pakistan.
In the year 1963 we established another firm Shaffisons, Imperial Commercial Agencies in 1967, British Automobiles in 1968, Islam Automobiles in 1970, Zainab Automobiles in January, 2001 and then Bearing Sale Centre in 2002.
In 1978 Mr. Arshad Islam entered into the ownership of above firms and to look after the affairs of family business.
Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Arshad Shaikh also joined the group as Executive Officer in 2013. Mr. Muhammad Ahsan is currently Partner in Bearing Sale Centre and Proprietor of M/s. Pioneer Automobiles also.
The firms were established to promote and expand business throughout Pakistan. The Pioneer Group of companies since it’s establishments has three branch offices in Karachi, one in Lahore. The Pioneer Group of companies has considerable depth and strength in auto spare parts & bearings business. These firms are very well known throughout Pakistan. At present we are main agents of Koyo Bearings, Japan since (1980). We are also the main and exclusive agents of NRB Bearings Thailand in Pakistan.
The Pioneer Group also established a factory in 1964 in the name and style of Pioneer Automobiles Industries, Islam Automobiles Industries & Pioneer Frictions in order to cater to the need of Automotive Vehicles/Farm Tractors & Stationary Engines for Radiator Cores, Brake & Clutch Linings. It was located at:

The group imported automotive spares from U.K., France, Germany, Italy, U.S.A., Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, China etc.
The Pioneer Group also had privilege of being the Exclusive Distributors for USSR’s National Bearing-GPZ from 1959 – 1988.
The Pioneer Group since it’s inception also gain smart business and has good standing and reputation in business community.
